Community Garden

First Fruits Community Garden offers 4x8 raised beds for rent, giving both new and experienced gardeners a place to grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Each bed includes water access with optional irrigation and timers. We also provide setup assistance, gardening resources, local classes, and hands-on training to help you grow fresh, pesticide-free produce.

“Sandy and myself have had a plot for two years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. We plant vegetables, herbs and flowers. Teresa keeps us informed and gives us really good advice and suggestions. We look forward to next spring’s garden season."

- Mark Lybrand

1

General Rules

The garden is open daily from dawn to dusk and must be enjoyed responsibly. Only organic gardening practices are allowed, and gardeners should treat only their own beds if pests or diseases arise, notifying the Garden Coordinator if problems spread. Alcohol, tobacco, and pets are not permitted.

2

Bed Rentals

Each raised bed measures 4x8 feet and rents for an annual fee of $60 with a limit of two beds per household. Gardeners are expected to visit at least twice a week to water, weed, and tend their beds, and year-round maintenance is required. If not gardening in winter, covering the soil is encouraged to prevent weeds.

3

Agreement

By renting a bed, you agree to follow these guidelines and maintain your plot throughout the season. Failure to pay fees, tend your bed, or comply with the rules may result in loss of your rental. The Community Garden, its Coordinator, and representatives are not responsible for personal injury, damage, or loss.
